We absolutely love going to Belize! This is a great trip for beginners and we love to take them here to get their feet wet in the world of saltwater fly fishing! The bonefish, Permit and Tarpon are abundant and willing, the guides are amazing teachers and the atmosphere is amazing! Adding a scuba or snorkel trip will only make it more amazing!

This is just an amazing destination with one of the craziest fish you will ever target, the Machaca! Your arm will be warn out after constant casting a fruit like fly to these voracious predators! Fall is a great time to fish Belize and October is often overlooked. Inquire for full details on this hosted trip to the beautiful Pelican Reef Villas. Offering discounted rates, including four people per 2br villa, this is a great trip to bring your non-fishing significant other!
Costa Rica - April 4th-9th 2027 - In on the 4th out on the 9th - $3700pp - double occupancy. Only a $500 deposit.
Tarponville lodge will be the destination, targeting large migrating tarpon! Snook and other species are available as well.
Tarponville fishing packages are all inclusive covering everything once you arrive into Limon, Costa Rica. After landing you will be met at the Limon International Airport by a representative from "Tarponville" who will be awaiting your arrival. Your shuttle ride will be a short ride south along the stunning Caribbean coastline in an air conditioned and very comfortable shuttle. . Your final destination is the southernmost village of Manzanillo. Driving through Manzanillo, to the end of the road, you will be met by the staff of Tarponville at the entrance to the Manzanillo/Gondoca wildlife refuge where you will be led down the jungle path paralleling the beach approx. 200 yards until you reach "Tarponville Lodge".
Suggested itinerary will be to fly into San Jose on 4/3 then take a hop to Limon on the 4th, where a shuttle will take us to the lodge. Contact us for more information.

Previous owners of the Gunnison River Fly Shop, Dave and Mary have hosted trips to beautiful destinations such as this picture in Costa Rica, fishing for the toothy Machaca, along with Belize and Cuba for Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit.
