Join us at the Beautiful Pelican Reef Villas this fall for some of the finest flats fishing around for Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit on the fly! Often overlooked, fall is the end of hurricane season and the rains usually hit and run, leaving nice weather the remainder of the day. This is also low tourist season which makes for a much less hectic experience and less fishing pressure.

Four or Five days of flats fishing await. We have secured a special guide rate for this trip, but *you must do at least four days on the boat. You will not find a better deal anywhere! Let us know how many fishing days in advance. Pelican Reef offers beautiful 2br beach front suites, rooms have separate bathrooms, a living room, full kitchen and patio! This is a beautiful beachfront property with pool and bar!

*This trip has the option of a non-fishing day to explore the island or head to the mainland to visit Mayan ruins. Book a scuba or snorkel trip Go bar hopping, hit the chocolate factory or do whatever you like. We will help you make arrangements.

Not included but recommended:

Duty free alcohol from the Belize airport or buy on island.
Dinner is not served at the resort but there are several options close by. There are good grocery and liquor stores on island.
Golf cart rental to cruise around in the afternoons and to dinner – we have a recommended rental place.
Flights to Belize City then San Pedro/Ambergris Caye. You can ferry from the mainland if you don’t like small planes, it’s about 1.5 hours VS a 13min flight. We can help with flight details.
San Pedro Airport shuttle, $37.50 RT, up to 5 people. We will schedule this when we have your arrival info. If you take the ferry we will pick you up or send a taxi.
Travel insurance ALWAYS and make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months of the travel dates.
Cash for tips and incidentals. $50-$60 per day per angler suggested.

Equipment-if you bring your own:

8wt-9wt fly rods with matching reel and saltwater fly line. Fly line with a slow sink tip can be helpful in slightly deeper water.
Flies for bonefish, permit and tarpon. Crazy Charlies and Gotcha’s, pink, gold and tan in sizes 4-6. These will work for bonefish and permit. Tarpon flies in size 1 and 2. Dark bunny flies, clousers and other baitfish patterns.
Saltwater leaders and tippet. 10-12’, 12-16lb.
Polarized sunglasses, sun shirts, sun pants, light rain jacket, head covering and gloves if you like.
Waterproof boat bag to keep your gear dry.
Snorkel and or scuba gear.
Camera/video equipment.
